Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Ballarat, a common entry point for visitors in Northern Victoria. Head west on the Western Highway (A8) towards Ararat. Continue on the A8 until you reach the junction with the Henty Highway (A200). Take the Henty Highway towards Stawell. As you approach Stawell, follow the signs to the Grampians National Park. From Stawell, take the Grampians Road towards Halls Gap. Just before Halls Gap, turn onto Roses Gap Road, which will lead you directly to Beehive Falls. There are no tolls or major costs involved in this route, but ensure your vehicle is fueled and ready for the trip.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can catch a V/Line train from Melbourne to Ballarat. The train journey takes approximately 1.5 hours. Upon arrival at Ballarat, transfer to a V/Line bus service heading towards Halls Gap. The bus journey takes around 2 hours. Once you arrive in Halls Gap, it is advisable to hire a taxi or use a rideshare service to reach Beehive Falls, as public transportation does not go directly to the falls. The taxi ride from Halls Gap to Beehive Falls will take about 20 minutes and may cost around AUD 40-50. Make sure to check the latest schedules for both the train and bus services to plan your trip efficiently.
