Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Kyneton, which is located approximately 85 km northwest of Melbourne. From the Calder Freeway (M79), take the Kyneton exit (exit 3). Follow the signs to Kyneton, which will lead you onto the McIvor Hwy. Continue on this road until you reach Mollison Street. Turn left onto Mollison Street, and after about 1 km, you will find the Kyneton Botanic Gardens on your left. Parking is available near the gardens, but it's advisable to check for any parking fees.

• Public Transport

  To reach Kyneton Botanic Gardens via public transport, take a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Kyneton Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Kyneton Station, exit the station and turn left onto the main road. You can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or catch a local bus to Mollison Street. If walking, head down the main road until you reach Mollison Street, then turn right. The gardens will be a short distance ahead on your left. Ensure to check the train and bus schedules in advance for any changes in service.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, cycling to Kyneton Botanic Gardens is a great way to experience the countryside. There are several cycling routes from nearby towns. For example, if you are coming from Castlemaine, follow the Coliban Water Pipeline Trail to Kyneton. Once you reach Kyneton, navigate to Mollison Street, where the gardens are located. Remember to wear a helmet and bring water, as some parts of the route may not have facilities.
