Car
If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to the Grampians National Park area. From Melbourne, take the Western Freeway (M8) towards Ballarat. Continue on the M8 until you reach the Halls Gap exit. Once you exit, follow the signs towards Halls Gap and then continue to Pomonal. On Pomonal Road, look for signs directing you to the Wonderland car park, which is the starting point for the walk to Turret Falls. The drive from Melbourne takes approximately 3 hours, and be aware that there may be park entry fees applicable at the Grampians National Park entry point.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, catch a V/Line train from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne to Stawell. The journey takes about 2.5 hours. From Stawell, you can take a local bus (check the timetable ahead of time) to Halls Gap. Once in Halls Gap, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Wonderland car park in Pomonal, as public transport options to the park may be limited. The taxi ride from Halls Gap to the Wonderland car park is approximately 15 minutes.
Walking
Once you arrive at the Wonderland car park, the walk to Turret Falls is relatively short and manageable. The walking track is well marked and takes about 30 minutes. The path may have some inclines and uneven terrain, so wear appropriate footwear. Enjoy the natural scenery as you make your way to the falls!
