Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Port Douglas, head north on Macrossan Street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Wharf Street. Turn left onto Wharf Street, which will lead you towards Port Douglas' marina. Follow Wharf Street until it curves right and becomes Garrick Street. Proceed on Garrick Street until you reach the intersection with Murphy Street. Turn left onto Murphy Street. Continue straight along Murphy Street until you see the signs for the Flagstaff Hill walking track on your left. Follow the walking track up Flagstaff Hill, which will lead you directly to the viewing platform and attractions at Flagstaff Hill Port Douglas.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Port Douglas Visitor Information Centre located at 2/2 Macrossan Street. Head north on Macrossan Street, then turn left onto Wharf Street and continue towards the marina. Once you reach the junction with Garrick Street, turn right and cycle along Garrick Street. When Garrick Street curves into Murphy Street, keep going straight until you reach the entrance to the Flagstaff Hill walking track on your left. Secure your bike at the designated bike racks and follow the path up Flagstaff Hill to the viewing platform.
