Walking
If you're starting in the center of Port Douglas, head west on Macrossan Street. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the Captain Cook Highway (Mowbray River Road). Walk along the highway, keeping an eye out for the footpath. Continue walking for approximately 2.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Henry Ross Lookout. Follow the signs, and you'll reach the lookout which is located just off Kennedy Highway, where you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding area.

Bicycle
From the central area of Port Douglas, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops. Start your ride along Macrossan Street and head towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Captain Cook Highway. Cycle along the highway; there is a bike lane available. After about 2.5 kilometers, look for the sign to Henry Ross Lookout. Follow the path leading off the highway, and you will find the lookout point where you can stop to take in the views.

From Port Douglas, you can catch a local bus that heads towards Mossman or further up the coast. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Henry Ross Lookout along the Captain Cook Highway. Once you get off, you will have to walk back towards the lookout along the highway for about 500 meters. Look for the signs directing you to the lookout, which will be visible from the road.
