    From Port Douglas, head to the main bus stop located on Macrossan Street. Look for the 'Sunbus' service which operates regular routes to Cairns. Purchase a ticket to Cairns Central Station. The bus journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Cairns Central Station, follow the signs to the 'Kuranda Scenic Railway' or 'Skyrail Rainforest Cableway' terminal. Both options will take you to Kuranda National Park.

    If you choose the 'Kuranda Scenic Railway', board the train at the Cairns Railway Station. The train ride offers stunning views of the rainforest and waterfalls. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and will take you directly to Kuranda Station, where you can access Kuranda National Park.

  • Skyrail

    Alternatively, if you opt for the 'Skyrail Rainforest Cableway', you will board the gondola at the Skyrail terminal near Cairns Central Station. The cableway ride provides breathtaking views of the rainforest and takes about 1.5 hours to reach Kuranda. Once you arrive at the Kuranda terminal, you can easily access Kuranda National Park.
