From the Port Douglas bus terminal, board the local bus heading towards Cairns. The bus service operates regularly, so check the schedule for the next departure. Inform the driver that you want to go to Kuranda National Park. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you reach the Kuranda stop, follow the signs towards the park entrance, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle Rental
If you enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Port Douglas. Head south on Macrossan Street until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Port Douglas Road and follow it as it turns into the scenic Captain Cook Highway. Continue until you see the signs for Kuranda National Park. The ride will take around 1.5 hours, and it's advisable to wear a helmet and carry plenty of water.

For the adventurous, you can embark on a walking tour from Port Douglas to Kuranda, although it's quite a distance.
