Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Port Douglas, walk to the nearest bus stop along Port Douglas Road. Look for the Sunbus service heading towards Cairns. Confirm the bus number goes to Smithfield. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Smithfield, disembark at the Smithfield Shopping Centre stop. From there, you will need to walk for about 15 minutes towards McGregor Rd. Follow the signs towards Skypark Cairns, which is located at the end of McGregor Rd.

Continue along the scenic route until you reach Smithfield, which is approximately 20 km away. Turn onto McGregor Rd and cycle until you reach the end of the road, where Skypark Cairns is located. The total cycling time is around 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace.

  You can easily catch a taxi or use a rideshare service like Uber from anywhere in Port Douglas. Simply request a ride to 'Skypark Cairns, Lot 2 End of McGregor Rd, Smithfield.' The drive usually takes about 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

• Walking Tour (short leg)

  For the adventurous, if you are close to the area and wish to walk, head towards the Smithfield area from Port Douglas. This is a longer route, approximately 20 km, so it may take several hours. Follow the main roads and keep an eye out for directional signs towards Smithfield and McGregor Rd. Ensure you carry water and wear comfortable walking shoes.
