If you are staying in central Port Douglas, you can walk to Wildlife Habitat. Start at Macrossan Street, which is the main street in Port Douglas. Head east towards the beach until you reach Wharf Street. Continue along Wharf Street until you reach the intersection with Port Douglas Rd. Turn right onto Port Douglas Rd and walk for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Wildlife Habitat will be on your left-hand side. This walk will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

Another enjoyable option is to rent a bicycle to reach Wildlife Habitat. You can find bicycle rental shops along Macrossan Street. Once you have your bike, head east towards the beach, then follow Wharf Street until it intersects with Port Douglas Rd. Turn right onto Port Douglas Rd and ride for about 1.5 kilometers.
