Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Alice Springs, take the Stuart Highway (A87) south for about 450 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Lasseter Highway (A87) towards Uluṟu. Continue on Lasseter Highway for approximately 200 kilometers until you reach the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park entrance. Drive approximately 15 kilometers to the Uluṟu Sunset Viewing Area. Parking is available at the viewing area.

To reach the Uluṟu Sunset Viewing Area via public transport, you can take a bus from Alice Springs. Companies like AAT Kings offer tours that include transportation to Uluṟu and sunset viewing. Make sure to book your seat in advance, as these tours can fill up quickly. The bus will drop you off at the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park entrance, and from there, you may need to walk or take a shuttle bus to the viewing area.
