Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey in Adelaide. Head north on the Main North Road (A20) towards Port Augusta. After approximately 260 kilometers, take the exit towards Wilmington. Continue on Horrocks Highway (B82) until you reach Wilmington. Once in Wilmington, follow the signs to Daveys Gully Lookout, which is located on Daveys Gully Trail. The lookout is about 10 kilometers from the town center, and the road is well maintained. Parking is available near the lookout.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train or bus from Adelaide to Port Augusta. From Port Augusta, you can catch a connecting bus to Wilmington. Once you arrive in Wilmington, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Daveys Gully Lookout, as public transport does not go directly there. The taxi ride will take approximately 15 minutes and may cost around AUD 20-30.
Walking
If you're adventurous and already in Wilmington, you can walk to Daveys Gully Lookout from the town. The walk is approximately 10 kilometers one way and will take around 2-3 hours. Start from the Wilmington Town Hall and follow the signs towards Daveys Gully Trail. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as parts of the trail can be steep and challenging.
