Continue on this road until you reach the intersection with the South Western Highway (State Route 20) and turn right. Follow the South Western Highway until you reach the town of Donnybrook. From Donnybrook, continue on the South Western Highway which will lead you through the town of Bunbury. Keep following the highway until you reach Collie. Once in Collie, take the Collie-Preston Road and follow it until you connect with the Coalfields Highway (State Route 11). Follow the Coalfields Highway north and then take the Great Eastern Highway (State Route 94) towards Perth. From Perth, continue to follow the Great Eastern Highway until you reach the junction with the Great Northern Highway (State Route 95). Continue on the Great Northern Highway heading north until you reach the city of Meekatharra. From Meekatharra, follow the signs to the Ngaanyatjarra-Giles region. The Australian Shield is located near Ngaanyatjarra-Giles, WA 0872. Ensure you have sufficient fuel and supplies, as services are limited in this remote area.
