If you are driving from Busselton, head north on the Bussell Highway (State Route 10) towards Bunbury. Once you reach Bunbury, merge onto the Forrest Highway (National Route 1) heading towards Perth. Continue for approximately 120 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for the South West Highway (State Route 20) towards Donnybrook. Follow the South West Highway through Donnybrook and Bridgetown, then continue onto the Great Southern Highway. Drive for about 225 kilometers until you reach Port Augusta. Follow local signs to the Great Western Bridge, which is located on Unnamed Road, just outside the city center.

To reach the Great Western Bridge using public transport, start by taking a bus from major towns in the South West region to Perth. From Perth, catch a Greyhound bus heading to Port Augusta. The journey can take around 24 hours, so it's advisable to book in advance and prepare for a long trip.
