If you are driving, start by heading towards the town of Stanthorpe, which is about 2.5 hours southwest of Brisbane via the Pacific Motorway (M1) and New England Highway (A15). Once in Stanthorpe, continue on the New England Highway (A15) heading south for approximately 24 km. Then, turn right onto Sundown Road (C228). Follow Sundown Road for about 20 km until you reach the entrance to Sundown National Park. Note that some sections of the road may be unsealed, so a 4WD vehicle is recommended.

For those using public transportation, take a train from Brisbane to Stanthorpe. The train service is operated by Queensland Rail, and you can check schedules online. Once you arrive at the Stanthorpe train station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Sundown National Park, as there is no direct public transport available. The taxi ride from Stanthorpe to the park entrance will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost around AUD 50-$70 depending on the time of day.
