From the visitor center, you will need to follow the marked walking trail towards Wards Canyon, which is about a 3-kilometer walk, taking approximately 1-2 hours depending on your pace.

Public Transportation

For those relying on public transportation, catch a bus from major cities like Brisbane or Rockhampton to Rolleston. Once in Rolleston, you can either book a local taxi or rideshare service to reach the Carnarvon Gorge Road. The taxi ride will take you to the entrance of Carnarvon Gorge National Park.
