Getting There

    From the center of Sunshine Coast (e.g., Maroochydore), head north on Aerodrome Road towards the Sunshine Motorway. Merge onto Sunshine Motorway and follow the signs for the M1 towards Brisbane. Continue on the M1 for approximately 30 km, then take exit 188 for Steve Irwin Way towards Australia Zoo. Merge onto Steve Irwin Way, and after about 8 km, you will see Australia Zoo on your left. Enter the zoo premises; Bindi's Island is a part of the Australia Zoo experience.

    From Maroochydore, take the Sunbus route 620 or 622 towards Landsborough. Get off at the stop labeled 'Australia Zoo.' The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. After getting off the bus, follow the signs to the Australia Zoo entrance. Bindi's Island is located within the zoo, and you can easily access it after entering the park.
