Car
From Sydney Basin, take the A1 (Pacific Motorway) towards Manly. Follow the signs towards Manly, exiting at Spit Road. Continue along Spit Road, which will merge into Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation. Follow this road until you reach Manly. Once in Manly, head towards Manly Beach. Park at one of the public car parks available near the beach. Ensure that you check for parking fees, which can range from AUD 5 to AUD 15 depending on the duration.
Public Transportation
If you're traveling by public transport, take the ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of the Sydney Harbour and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Manly Wharf, exit and walk straight towards Manly Beach. From there, you can either walk or take a local bus (such as the 135 or 136) towards the northern beaches. Make sure to check the timetable for the local bus service, as they may vary. The bus will drop you off near the entrance to Hanging Swamp.
Walking
Once you arrive at Manly Beach, if you choose to walk, head north along the beach path. You will pass several scenic spots. Follow the coastal walk signs towards North Head. The walk can take around 1 hour from Manly Beach to Hanging Swamp, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Enjoy the beautiful coastal views along the way.
