If you're driving from Sydney, take the M4 Motorway towards Penrith. Continue on the M4, then take the exit towards the Great Western Highway (A32). Follow the Great Western Highway for approximately 60 km until you reach Katoomba. At Katoomba, turn onto Cliff Drive, which will take you towards the Blue Mountains National Park. Look for the signs indicating the Ruined Castle walking track. Park at the nearby parking area (note: parking fees may apply) and begin your hike towards Ruined Castle.

To reach Ruined Castle via public transport, take a train from Central Station in Sydney towards Katoomba on the Blue Mountains Line. The journey takes about 2 hours.
