Car
If you're driving from the Sydney CBD, take the Western Distributor and merge onto the M1 Pacific Motorway. Continue on the M1 for about 18 kilometers, then take the exit towards Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park. Follow the signs for West Head Road. After about 6 kilometers, you will reach West Head Lookout, which is located on your right side. There are parking facilities available.
Public Transport
To reach West Head Lookout via public transportation, start by taking a train from Central Station to Hornsby Station on the T1 North Shore Line. From Hornsby, catch bus 586 towards Brooklyn. Get off at the 'West Head Road' stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the lookout. Follow West Head Road until you reach the lookout point, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.
Car
If you're coming from Manly, take the Barrenjoey Road and follow it until it turns into Pittwater Road. Continue until you reach the intersection with Mona Vale Road. Turn left onto Mona Vale Road and follow it until it merges with the M1. Take the exit towards Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park and follow West Head Road until you reach the lookout.
Public Transport
From Chatswood, take the train on the T1 North Shore Line towards Hornsby. Disembark at Gordon Station. Transfer to bus 196 towards Elanora Heights and get off at 'West Head Road' stop. Walk along West Head Road for approximately 15 minutes to reach the lookout.
