To reach Goat Island, start by heading to Circular Quay, a major ferry terminal in Sydney. You can take a train to Circular Quay Station (on the T2, T3, or T8 lines) or a bus to the Circular Quay area. Once you arrive at Circular Quay, look for the ferry wharf. Goat Island ferries typically depart from a specific wharf, so check the schedule at the ferry terminal or look for signs indicating the Goat Island ferry. Purchase your ticket at the ticket booth if you haven't already done so online. Board the ferry, and enjoy the scenic ride across Sydney Harbour. The ferry ride takes approximately 30 minutes, and you will arrive directly at Goat Island.

If you are already near the Sydney Harbour, such as from the Sydney Opera House or The Rocks area, you can take a leisurely walk to Circular Quay. From the Sydney Opera House, head towards the water and follow the path that leads to Circular Quay. The walk is approximately 15 minutes and offers stunning views of the harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge along the way. Once at Circular Quay, follow the instructions above to catch the ferry to Goat Island.

Buses frequently run to Circular Quay. Once you arrive at Circular Quay, follow the signs to the ferry wharf and board the ferry to Goat Island as previously described.
