Getting There

• Bus

  From downtown Sydney, head to the nearest bus stop. You can catch the 190 bus towards Palm Beach. The bus will take you directly to the Pittwater area. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest arrival times. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at the Pittwater stop, follow the signs to the bay area, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.

• Ferry

  If you are near Circular Quay, you can take a ferry to Palm Beach. Board the ferry and enjoy the scenic ride across the water. After arriving at Palm Beach, you will need to walk towards the Pittwater area. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the ferry terminal, following the coastal path along the beach. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.

• Train

  Take a train from Sydney's Central Station to Hornsby Station on the North Shore Line. From Hornsby, transfer to the T1 train heading towards Berowra and get off at Cowan Station. From Cowan Station, you can take a local bus (Route 591) that goes to the Pittwater area. Make sure to check the bus schedule as it may not run frequently. The total travel time can take approximately 1.5 hours.

• Walking

  If you are already in a nearby suburb, you can walk to Pittwater by following the coastal walking paths. Use a mapping application on your phone to guide you. The area is well marked with signs directing you to Pittwater and the surrounding parks and beaches. Make sure to carry water and snacks, especially if you're walking from further away.
