To reach Saint Mary's Cathedral from central Sydney, locate the nearest train station, which is Town Hall Station. Take the T2, T3, or T8 train towards Circular Quay. After one stop, alight at St James Station. Once you exit the station, head towards Elizabeth Street and turn right. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with St Marys Rd. Turn left onto St Marys Rd, and you will see Saint Mary's Cathedral directly ahead.
Bus
If you prefer to travel by bus, find a bus stop near your current location. Look for buses heading towards the City. You can take any bus that stops on Elizabeth Street. Get off at the stop closest to St James Station. From there, walk towards St Marys Rd by heading towards the St James Church, and you will see Saint Mary's Cathedral just a short distance away.

For those who enjoy walking, you can easily reach Saint Mary's Cathedral from Hyde Park. Start at the southern end of Hyde Park and walk towards the eastern side. If you are near the light rail line, you can take the light rail towards Dulwich Hill. Get off at the stop named 'Capitol Square' or 'Paddy's Markets'. From there, head towards George Street and walk towards the intersection with Hay Street. Turn left on Hay Street and then right onto Elizabeth Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with St Marys Rd. Turn left, and you will find Saint Mary's Cathedral.
