Getting there

Public Transport - Train

If you're starting from Central Station, take the T2, T3, or T8 train towards Bondi Junction. Get off at Edgecliff Station. From there, exit the station and head down New South Head Road. After a short walk, turn left onto Ocean Street, and continue until you reach the Butler Stairs at the end of the street, which will lead you down to the water.

Public Transport - Bus

From Circular Quay, catch the bus number 324 or 325 towards Bondi Junction. Get off at the stop at Ocean Street and New South Head Road. Walk down Ocean Street until you reach the Butler Stairs, which will be on your right as you approach the coastline.

Walking

If you are near Bondi Beach, simply walk towards the north end of the beach and follow Campbell Parade to the north. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Ocean Street. Turn right onto Ocean Street, and keep walking until you see the Butler Stairs leading down to the coastline.

Public Transport - Light Rail

From the Sydney Light Rail station at Pyrmont Bay, take the light rail towards Dulwich Hill. Change at the Central Station stop to the T2, T3, or T8 train towards Bondi Junction. Get off at Edgecliff Station. From there, exit the station, head down New South Head Road, and turn left onto Ocean Street to reach the Butler Stairs.
