Start your journey at any train station in Sydney. If you're near Circular Quay, take the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line towards Bondi Junction. Get off at the next stop, Town Hall Station. From Town Hall, transfer to the T2, T3, or T8 lines and head towards Wynyard Station.

Once you arrive at Wynyard Station, exit the station and walk towards Carrington Street. Turn right onto Carrington Street, then take the first left onto York Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Erskine Street. Turn right onto Erskine Street and follow it until you reach the junction with George Street.

When you reach George Street, turn left and head south until you see the entrance to the Barangaroo Reserve on your left. Walk through the reserve, enjoying the views of the harbor. Continue walking through the reserve until you reach the end, where you will see a path leading up towards the Observatory.
