Walking
From The Rocks, head towards George Street and walk south. Continue walking until you reach Circular Quay, which will take around 10 minutes. Once at Circular Quay, you will see the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. From here, walk east along the water towards the Royal Botanic Garden. Enter the garden through the main entrance at Macquarie Street. The Calyx is located within the gardens, specifically on Mrs Macquaries Road. It should take approximately 15 minutes to walk from Circular Quay to The Calyx.
Public Transport - Bus
If you prefer to take public transport, you can catch a bus from The Rocks area. Look for the nearest bus stop and take bus number 441 towards the city. Get off at the 'Royal Botanic Gardens' stop. From the bus stop, walk a short distance into the gardens, and follow the signs to The Calyx. The bus fare is around AUD 3.00 for a single trip within the city.
Public Transport - Ferry
You can also take a ferry from Circular Quay to reach the Royal Botanic Gardens. Board a ferry heading towards Manly or Taronga Zoo. Alight at the 'Botanic Gardens' wharf. From the wharf, walk towards the entrance of the gardens and follow the path to The Calyx. The ferry fare costs approximately AUD 7.00 one way.
