From Broome, drive east on the Broome-Cape Leveque Road (Cygnet Bay Road) for about 220 kilometers until you reach the Great Northern Highway (National Route 1). Turn left onto the Great Northern Highway and continue driving for approximately 200 kilometers. You will then turn right onto the Gibb River Road, which is a well-known unsealed road that leads you into The Kimberley region. Continue on Gibb River Road for about 130 kilometers until you arrive at the King Leopold Ranges National Park entrance. Devonian Reef is located within this park, so follow the signs towards the main attractions.
Public Transportation
Take a bus service from Broome to Derby. Several companies offer this route, and the journey takes around 4 hours. Once in Derby, you will need to hire a 4WD vehicle or join a guided tour that takes you into the Gibb River Road area, as public transportation options are limited in this remote region. The tour or rental will take you to the King Leopold Ranges National Park, where you can visit the Devonian Reef. Ensure to check the costs of the bus and rental or tour service before your trip.
