Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start your journey in Darwin, the nearest major city. Take the Stuart Highway (A1) southbound towards Katherine. After approximately 2 hours, take the exit onto the Kakadu Highway (B2) towards Kakadu National Park. Continue on the Kakadu Highway for about 60 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the park. There is an entry fee of approximately AUD 40 per vehicle for a 7-day pass. Once inside the park, follow the signs to Nawurlandja Lookout. The lookout is approximately 25 kilometers from the park entrance. Look for the turnoff to the Nawurlandja Lookout car park, where you can park your vehicle and begin your walk to the lookout.

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from Darwin to Jabiru operated by the Kakadu Bus service. Buses typically leave from the Darwin Bus Terminal. The journey takes around 3 hours.
