Getting There

• Car

  To reach Martins Point in Port Fairy, begin your journey from Warrnambool, which is about 26 kilometers away. Head southwest on Raglan Parade (Princes Highway) towards Port Fairy. After approximately 20 kilometers, take the exit towards Port Fairy, following the signs to the town center. Continue straight onto Bank Street, and then turn right onto Gipps Street. Follow Gipps Street until you reach the coastal area. You will see signs for Martins Point as you approach the waterfront.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transport, you can take a V/Line bus from Melbourne to Warrnambool. Buses leave from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne and take about 3.5 hours. Upon arrival at Warrnambool, switch to a local bus service that connects to Port Fairy. Once in Port Fairy, you can either walk to Martins Point, which is around a 20-minute walk from the bus stop, or take a taxi for a more direct route. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may be limited on weekends.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous cyclist, you can bike from Warrnambool to Port Fairy. The route along the coastal path is approximately 26 kilometers and offers scenic views of the coastline. Start on the bike path that runs parallel to the Princes Highway. Ensure you have a helmet and check local bike rental options if you do not have your own. This journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed. Once in Port Fairy, follow the same directions as if you were driving to reach Martins Point.
