Car
To reach St Kilda Breakwater by car from anywhere in Western Victoria, start on the Western Freeway (M8) heading towards Melbourne. Follow signs for the M1 to continue on the Princes Freeway towards Melbourne. When approaching the city, take the exit for the M1 towards the City and continue on the West Gate Freeway (M1). Follow the signs for St Kilda via the CityLink toll road (please note there is a toll fee for using CityLink). After exiting at Kings Way, follow the signs for St Kilda. Once in St Kilda, head towards the coast and follow the road signs to St Kilda Breakwater, which is located at the end of the St Kilda Marina.
Public Transportation
To reach St Kilda Breakwater using public transportation, you can take a V/Line train from various locations in Western Victoria to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. From Southern Cross Station, transfer to the tram network. Catch the tram number 96 towards St Kilda and get off at the St Kilda Terminus. From there, it’s a short walk towards the coast. Head down to the beach area, and you will see signs directing you to the St Kilda Breakwater. Make sure to check the Public Transport Victoria website for the latest schedule and fares.
