Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards Airlie Beach, the main gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. From Airlie Beach, follow Shute Harbour Road for about 8 kilometers until you reach Shute Harbour. There, you will need to park your car in one of the designated parking areas. Note that parking fees may apply, so be sure to check the signage. From Shute Harbour, you will take a ferry or a boat transfer to Hook Island, which is where Luncheon Bay is located. The ferry service runs regularly, and the ride takes approximately 30 minutes.
Public Transportation
To reach Luncheon Bay using public transportation, you can take a bus from Airlie Beach to Shute Harbour. There are several bus services that operate along this route. After arriving at Shute Harbour, you will need to purchase a ticket for the ferry service that goes to Hook Island. The ferry ride will take around 30 minutes. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance to ensure you have the latest departure times.
Ferry
Once you arrive at Shute Harbour, book your ferry ticket to Hook Island.
