If you are driving, start from Airlie Beach. Head south on Shute Harbour Road (State Route 59) for about 10 km. Turn left onto South Molle Island Road and follow the signs for South Molle Island. After about 4 km, you will reach the ferry terminal. You will need to take a ferry to South Molle Island, which typically costs around AUD 30-40 for a round trip. Once you arrive on South Molle Island, follow the signs to Spion Kop Lookout, which is a short hike from the ferry terminal.

From Airlie Beach, you can take a shuttle bus or taxi to the ferry terminal at Shute Harbour. Shuttles usually cost around AUD 15-20 per person. Once at the ferry terminal, board the ferry to South Molle Island. After reaching the island, follow the signs to Spion Kop Lookout, which is a short and scenic walk from the ferry drop-off point.

Once you arrive at South Molle Island via ferry, the hike to Spion Kop Lookout is approximately 1 km. Follow the marked walking trail, which will lead you through beautiful scenery.
