Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from anywhere in Yarra Valley, set your GPS to Emerald Lake Rd, Emerald VIC 3782. From Lilydale, take Lilydale - Warburton Rd toward Yarra Valley, then merge onto the Maroondah Hwy/A300. Continue on A300 until you reach the exit for the M3 freeway towards Melbourne. Follow signs for Belgrave and take the exit towards Belgrave-Gembrook Rd. Follow this road until you reach Emerald. Once in Emerald, follow the signs to Emerald Lake Playground. There’s parking available on-site, usually free of charge.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Emerald Lake Playground using public transport, take the train from Melbourne to Belgrave Station on the Puffing Billy Line. Once you arrive at Belgrave Station, you can catch the 685 or 688 bus towards Emerald. The bus will take you directly to Emerald. Make sure to check the current bus schedule on the PTV (Public Transport Victoria) website or app, as services may vary. The bus fare is approximately $4-5 AUD for a single journey, depending on your starting point.

• Walking/Biking from Emerald Town Center

  If you're already in Emerald town center, Emerald Lake Playground is about a 30-minute walk or a 10-minute bike ride. Head south on Main Street, then turn left onto Emerald Lake Rd. Follow this road, and you will reach the playground. This is a beautiful scenic route, and it’s an excellent way to enjoy the local environment.
