Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, begin your journey from the Yarra Valley region. Navigate to the Monbulk Road (C419) and head towards Kallista. Continue on Monbulk Road until you reach the roundabout at the intersection with Ridge Road. Take the exit onto Ridge Road and follow it for approximately 3 kilometers. John's Hill Reserve Lookout will be on your left-hand side. There is no entry fee to access the lookout, and parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  Using public transportation, start your journey at the nearest train station, which is Belgrave Station. From Belgrave Station, board the 694 bus towards Kallista. The bus ride will take about 20-25 minutes. Disembark at the stop closest to Ridge Road. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 kilometer along Ridge Road to reach John's Hill Reserve Lookout. Please check the local bus schedules in advance, as the frequency may vary. Bus fares will apply, so ensure you have a myki card for travel.

• Bicycle

  For the adventurous, biking to John's Hill Reserve Lookout is also an option. Start from the Yarra Valley and take the scenic route via the Warburton Highway. Once you reach Kallista, follow the same route as drivers by taking Ridge Road. It's approximately a 10-kilometer ride from the Warburton Highway to the lookout. Be prepared for some hills, and ensure you have proper equipment and safety gear. There are no entry fees, and bike racks are available at the lookout.
