From the center of Yarra Valley, head southeast on the Warburton Highway (B380) towards Mount Dandenong. Continue on Warburton Highway for about 15 kilometers until you reach the roundabout at the intersection with the Mt Dandenong Tourist Road. Take the second exit onto Mt Dandenong Tourist Road. After approximately 3 kilometers, turn left onto Barbers Road. Silvan Dam Lookout will be on your left at 2 Barbers Rd, Kalorama VIC 3766. There is free parking available at the lookout.
Public Transportation
To reach Silvan Dam Lookout using public transportation, you can take a train to Lilydale Station on the Lilydale line. From Lilydale Station, catch Bus 685 towards Mt Dandenong. Get off at the stop on Mt Dandenong Tourist Road and Barbers Road. From there, it is a 10-15 minute walk to Silvan Dam Lookout. Ensure to check the bus schedules as they can vary, and consider purchasing a Myki card for travel costs, which is approximately AUD 6 for a daily cap.
