Getting There

  • Train

    From Bregenz main train station (Bregenz Bahnhof), take a regional train towards Friedrichshafen. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the station called Salem. Once you arrive at Salem station, exit the station and follow the signs towards Kloster und Schloss Salem, which is about a 15-minute walk. Head northeast on Bahnhofstraße, then turn left onto Klosterstraße, and follow the road until you reach the Kloster und Schloss Salem.

  • Bus

    From the center of Bregenz, walk to the nearest bus stop and take Bus number 5 towards Friedrichshafen. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop named Salem Kloster. From there, Kloster und Schloss Salem is just a short 5-minute walk. Head northeast on Klosterstraße until you reach the entrance.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Bregenz. Follow the bicycle path along the lake towards Friedrichshafen. The ride is approximately 12 km and will take around 45 minutes. Once you reach Salem, follow the signs directing you to Kloster und Schloss Salem, which is located near the center of the village.
