Getting There

• Bus

  From the center of Bregenz, walk to the nearest bus stop 'Bregenz, Bahnhof' which is located near the train station. Take the bus number 29 towards 'Langenargen' or 'Eichenberg'. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Disembark at 'St. Gallen, Bahnhof' bus stop. From there, walk to the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen located at Museumstrasse 32, which is about a 10-minute walk. Head east on Bahnhofstrasse, then turn left onto Museumstrasse, and the museum will be on your right.

• Train

  Walk to Bregenz train station (Bregenz Bahnhof). Purchase a ticket to St. Gallen; trains typically depart frequently. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at St. Gallen train station, exit the station and walk towards Bahnhofstrasse. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach Museumstrasse. Turn right onto Museumstrasse, and you will find the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen at number 32.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the bike rental stations in Bregenz. Head towards the cycle route that leads to St. Gallen. Follow the bike paths along the Lake Constance shoreline and then onto the designated cycling routes to St. Gallen. The ride will take approximately 1.5 hours. Once you reach St. Gallen, follow the signs to the city center and then navigate to Museumstrasse to find the museum.

• Walking

  If you enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route along the Lake Constance promenade. Start from the Bregenz waterfront and walk north along the lake. After around 8 kilometers, you'll reach the border with Switzerland. Continue towards the city center of St. Gallen. Depending on your pace, this walk will take around 2-3 hours. Once in St. Gallen, head towards Museumstrasse to locate the Kunstmuseum.
