If you're driving, head towards the city of Neusiedl am See, which is a central point in Burgenland. From Neusiedl am See, take the B10 road heading east. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the turnoff for Unnamed Road (7091). Follow Unnamed Road for approximately 2 kilometers, and you will arrive at the Thenau Nature Reserve. Note that parking may be available at the entrance, but be sure to check for any signage regarding parking fees.

To reach Thenau Nature Reserve using public transport, take a train from major towns in Burgenland, such as Eisenstadt or Neusiedl am See, to the nearest station, which is Neusiedl am See railway station. From there, you can take a regional bus (line 214) towards 'Purbach' and get off at the stop 'Unnamed Road'. The bus journey will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you alight, you will need to walk about 1.5 kilometers along Unnamed Road to reach the entrance of Thenau Nature Reserve. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time as services may be limited.

For the more adventurous visitors, cycling is another great option. If you are in Neusiedl am See, you can rent a bicycle and follow the cycling paths towards Thenau Nature Reserve.
