If you're driving, start from the town of Hallstatt, which is approximately 10 km away. Head south on B166 towards Obertraun. After about 5 km, turn left onto Krippensteinstraße. Continue on this road until you see signs for the Krippenstein cable car station. Park your car at the designated parking area near the cable car station. From there, you will need to take the cable car up to Krippenstein, which costs around €37 for a round trip.

To reach Berghöhle am Krippenstein using public transport, take a train to Obertraun Dachsteinhöhlen station. From the station, take bus line 543 towards Hallstatt and get off at the Krippenstein cable car station. The bus ride takes around 10 minutes and buses run frequently. The cable car ticket for a round trip to Krippenstein is approximately €37. Once you arrive at the top, follow the marked hiking paths towards Berghöhle am Krippenstein, which is about a 30-minute walk from the cable car station.
