Public Transport - Bus
From Eisenstadt, walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Eisenstadt Bahnhof.' Take bus line 2 towards 'Mattersburg.' After approximately 30 minutes, get off at 'Wien Erdberg.' From there, transfer to the U3 subway line towards 'Simmering' and ride it until you reach 'Stephansplatz.' Change to the U1 line towards 'Reumannplatz' and get off at 'Karlsplatz.' Finally, take tram line 1 towards 'Prater' and get off at 'Josefsplatz.' The Austrian National Library will be right ahead at Josefsplatz 1.
Public Transport - Train
Head to Eisenstadt's train station, 'Eisenstadt Bahnhof.' Take the train towards 'Wien Westbahnhof.' The journey takes around 50 minutes. Once you arrive, exit the station and take the U6 subway line towards 'Floridsdorf.' Change at 'Karlsplatz' to the U1 line towards 'Reumannplatz.' Get off at 'Karlsplatz' and take tram line 1 towards 'Prater.' Disembark at 'Josefsplatz.' The Austrian National Library will be directly in front of you at Josefsplatz 1.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, you can stroll around Eisenstadt to explore the sights. However, walking directly from Eisenstadt to Vienna would take a considerable amount of time (approximately 1.5 hours). It is recommended to take public transport instead for convenience. Once you reach Vienna, navigate your way to Josefsplatz 1 using Google Maps or local signage.
