Public Transport - Bus
From Eisenstadt, walk to the Eisenstadt Bahnhof (train station). From there, take Bus 1 in the direction of 'Eisenstadt Friedhof'. This bus will take you to the stop 'Eisenstadt, Klosterkirche'. Once you get off, head towards the main road and take Bus 2 towards 'Wien - Hütteldorf'. After approximately 25 minutes, you will arrive at the stop 'Wien, Grinzing'. From the bus stop, walk straight along the main road until you reach the charming vineyards and restaurants of Grinzing.
Public Transport - Train and Tram
Start at Eisenstadt Bahnhof and take a train to Wien Meidling. This journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Wien Meidling, transfer to the U6 subway line towards 'Floridsdorf' and get off at 'Nussdorf'. From Nussdorf, catch Tram 38 towards 'Grinzing' and get off at the 'Grinzing' stop. You will find yourself in the heart of the Grinzing area, known for its Heurigen (wine taverns) and beautiful views.
Walking Tour
If you prefer a scenic walk, start from the center of Eisenstadt and head northwest towards the outskirts of the city. Follow the signs towards the 'Schloß Esterházy' and then continue on the path leading to the vineyards. This walking route takes you through beautiful landscapes and typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Grinzing, you can enjoy a local wine in one of the many Heurigen.
