Public Transport - Tram
From Eisenstadt, walk to the nearest tram stop, which is 'Eisenstadt Bahnhof'. Take tram line 2 towards 'Wien Hauptbahnhof'. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at 'Wien Praterstern'. Here, transfer to tram line 5 towards 'Karlsplatz'. After about 10 minutes, get off at 'Rennweg' stop. From 'Rennweg', it's a short 10-minute walk to the Hundertwasser House, located at Kegelgasse 36-38. Simply head west on Rennweg, take a left onto Landstraße, and then a right onto Kegelgasse.
Public Transport - Train and Tram
Start by walking to the Eisenstadt train station. Take the train towards 'Wien Meidling'. The journey takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive at 'Wien Meidling', transfer to U-Bahn line U6 towards 'Floridsdorf' and travel to 'Längenfeldgasse'. Here, transfer to U-Bahn line U4 towards 'Karlsplatz'. Get off at 'Karlsplatz' and take tram line 1 towards 'Reumannplatz'. Get off at 'Rennweg' and walk 10 minutes to Hundertwasser House at Kegelgasse 36-38, heading west on Rennweg, turning left onto Landstraße, then right onto Kegelgasse.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, it will take approximately 40 minutes from the center of Eisenstadt. Start at the main square, 'Haydnplatz', and head southeast towards the main road. Follow the signs to the train station and continue on the pedestrian path leading to the outskirts of the city. Follow the signs for Vienna and continue straight along the main road until you reach the tram lines. Once you reach the tram area, you can catch a tram towards Wien. Walking through the scenic routes can provide a unique experience of the local landscape.
