    From Eisenstadt, walk to the Eisenstadt Bahnhof (train station) which is about a 10-minute walk from the center. From there, take the train to Vienna. The journey typically takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station), follow the signs to the U-Bahn (subway). Take the U1 line towards Stephansplatz and get off at Stephansplatz station. Transfer to the U3 line (the orange line) and head towards Volkstheater. Get off at Volkstheater station and exit towards the MuseumsQuartier. From there, it's a short 10-minute walk to Heldenplatz. Follow the signs to the Hofburg Palace, and Heldenplatz will be right in front of you.

    Train

    Start at Eisenstadt Bahnhof, which is a short walk from the city center. Board a train heading towards Vienna, which runs frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive at Wien Hauptbahnhof, follow the signs to the U-Bahn. Take the U1 line towards Stephansplatz. After one stop, transfer to the U3 line towards Volkstheater and get off at Volkstheater station. From there, walk towards the MuseumsQuartier and follow the signs to Heldenplatz, located in front of the Hofburg Palace.

    If you're already in Eisenstadt and prefer not to take public transport, you can take a leisurely walk to Eisenstadt Bahnhof, which is about a 10-minute walk from the city center. Once at the train station, board a train to Vienna (it’s a short ride). Upon arrival at Wien Hauptbahnhof, take the U1 subway line towards Stephansplatz. Then transfer to the U3 line at Stephansplatz station towards Volkstheater. After getting off at Volkstheater, follow the signs directing you to the MuseumsQuartier area, and Heldenplatz will be a short 10-minute walk from there.
