For those using public transport, take a bus from Flachgau to Hallein. The bus line 160 connects Flachgau to Hallein. Once in Hallein, you can transfer to the bus line 170 towards 'Puch' and get off at the stop 'Nockstein'. From there, it is a short walk to the Nockstein trailhead. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary throughout the day. A round-trip bus fare is typically around €5.
