Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Graz's main square, Hauptplatz, head east on Herrengasse towards the Landhaus. Continue straight until you reach the end of Herrengasse, then turn right onto Sporgasse. Follow Sporgasse until you arrive at the base of Schlossberg, where you will see the entrance to the funicular. Take the funicular up to the Schlossberg. Once you exit, follow the signs to Graz Museum Schlossberg, which is located at Schloßberg 5, just a short walk from the funicular station.

  • Public Transport

    From Graz's main train station (Graz Hauptbahnhof), take tram line 1 or 7 towards the city center. Get off at the stop called Jakominiplatz. From Jakominiplatz, transfer to tram line 3 or 5 heading towards Krenngasse. Get off at the stop called 'Schlossbergplatz', which is the closest stop. From there, walk towards the Schlossberg hill and follow the signs for the funicular. Take the funicular to the top, and then follow the signs to Graz Museum Schlossberg, located at Schloßberg 5.

    If you are near the Kunsthaus Graz, start walking towards the Mur River. Cross the Mur and head towards the Schlossberg. Follow the paths that lead up the hill.
