Public Transport
From the city center of Graz, start at the main square (Hauptplatz) and head to the nearest tram stop, which is called 'Hauptplatz'. Take tram line 7 towards 'Sankt Peter'. You will travel for about 20 minutes. Get off at 'Sankt Peter' stop. From there, switch to bus line 33 towards 'Messendorf'. After approximately 10 minutes on the bus, get off at the 'Messendorfberg' stop. Walk uphill for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Grazer Urwald located at Messendorfberg 61.

If you prefer to walk, you can start from Graz's main train station (Graz Hauptbahnhof). Exit the station and head south towards the 'Friedrichgasse'. Continue straight until you reach the 'Südtiroler Platz'. From there, walk along the 'Südtiroler Straße' heading southeast until you reach 'Messendorf'. The walk will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, and you will enjoy the scenery of the area.

For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental services in downtown Graz. Start at the 'Kaiser-Josef-Platz' and follow the bike path on 'Südtiroler Straße'.
