Public Transport
From Hallstatt, walk to the Hallstatt train station, which is about a 10-minute walk from the center of Hallstatt. Once you arrive at the station, take the train towards 'Bad Ischl' (approximately 20 minutes). After arriving at Bad Ischl station, transfer to bus line 543 towards 'Altaussee' and disembark at the 'Altaussee Lichtersberg' stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk (around 1 km) to Salzwelten Altaussee located at Lichtersberg 25.

Start at the center of Hallstatt and walk to the Hallstatt ferry station (about 15 minutes). Take the ferry across the lake to the opposite shore, where you'll arrive at the 'Wolfsgrube' landing. From there, walk to the bus stop for line 543 that goes to 'Altaussee'. Board the bus and get off at 'Altaussee Lichtersberg'. The entrance to Salzwelten Altaussee is a short walk from the bus stop.
