Walking
If you are already in Hallstatt, start at the main square (Marktplatz) where you can find several cafes and shops. From the square, head towards the lakefront and walk along the path that runs parallel to the water. Continue walking until you see the Salzbergstraße road. Turn left onto Salzbergstraße and follow it uphill. After about 10-15 minutes of walking, you will see the entrance to Salzwelten Hallstatt on your right side at Salzbergstraße 21. The walk offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains.

From the main square in Hallstatt, walk towards the lake and look for the funicular railway station (Hungerburgbahn).
