Getting There

    If you are starting from the Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof (main train station), exit the train station and turn left onto Universitätsstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Maria-Theresien-Straße. Turn right onto Maria-Theresien-Straße and walk for about 10 minutes. You will pass various shops and cafes. Keep walking until you see the golden roof (Goldenes Dachl) on your left. Marktplatz is located just a short walk further down the street, directly ahead of you.

    From the Altstadt (Old Town), which is a popular area for tourists, head towards the main square. If you are near the Golden Roof (Goldenes Dachl), walk directly away from it towards the street called Herzog-Friedrich-Straße. Continue straight for about 5 minutes, and you will reach Marktplatz. Look for the large open area surrounded by historical buildings.

    If you are near the Innsbruck Congress station, you can take tram line 1 or 3 towards the direction of the city center. Get off at the stop 'Marktplatz' which is directly at the square. This journey takes approximately 5 minutes. Once you exit the tram, you will be at Marktplatz, surrounded by shops and cafes.

    From the Tiroler Landesmuseum (Tyrolean State Museum), head towards the street called Wilhelm-Greil-Straße. Walk straight for about 8 minutes, and you will come to a large intersection. Continue walking straight on Maria-Theresien-Straße until you reach the Marktplatz. It is a prominent square and should be easily recognizable.
