Discover the Majestic Karlinger Wasserfall

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the center of Kaprun, head west on B168 towards Zell am See. Continue on B168 for about 3 kilometers. Look for the signs to the Karlinger Wasserfall, which will direct you to turn onto a smaller road leading into the mountains. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the parking area at the trailhead. There may be a small parking fee of around €5, so ensure you have coins or a card available.

• Public Transportation

  From the Kaprun Ortsmitte bus stop, take the bus number 660 towards Zell am See. You will need to ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the 'Karlinger Wasserfall' bus stop. The bus fare is approximately €2.50. From the bus stop, there is a short walk (about 10 minutes) to reach the waterfall. Follow the marked path that leads you up the hill to the viewing area of the waterfall.

• Hiking

  If you enjoy hiking, you can start your journey directly from Kaprun. Take the trail that begins near the Kaprun Castle, heading north. The hike to Karlinger Wasserfall is about 5 kilometers uphill and takes roughly 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes and bring water, as the trail can be steep in parts.
