Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, head towards the village of Hinterriß, which is located in the Karwendel region. From Innsbruck, take the A12 motorway towards Kufstein, then exit at Zirl and follow the B177 towards Pertisau. Continue on the B181 until you reach the turn-off for Hinterriß. Follow the signs to Hinterriß Nr. 4, where Großer Ahornboden is situated. There is a parking area available near the site, which may incur a small parking fee.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, take a train to the nearest train station, which is in Jenbach. From Jenbach, transfer to the bus (line 4070) towards Hinterriß. Note that bus tickets can be purchased at the station or on the bus, and prices will vary depending on your starting point.
