Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving, head to Scharnitz, a small village in the Karwendel region. From Innsbruck, take the A12 motorway towards Kufstein, then exit at Zirl and follow signs for Scharnitz via the B177. As you enter Scharnitz, continue on Hinterautalstraße until you reach Hinterautalstraße 555b, which is the address for Gleirschklamm Gorge. There is parking available nearby.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Gleirschklamm Gorge by public transport, take a train to Scharnitz from Innsbruck. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. From the Scharnitz train station, you can walk to the gorge. Exit the station and head south on Bahnhofstraße, which will lead you to Hinterautalstraße. Continue walking along Hinterautalstraße for about 1.5 km until you reach the gorge at Hinterautalstraße 555b.

  • Walking

    Once you arrive at the parking area or train station in Scharnitz, you will need to walk to the gorge. The walk from the Scharnitz train station is about 20 minutes. If you are driving, park your car and take a 10-minute walk along Hinterautalstraße to reach the entrance of Gleirschklamm Gorge.
